Chottanikkara Temple is a very famous pilgrimage place for the Hindu Devotees. This temple is one of the 393 shrines spread over 3 Districts of Kerala and comes under the administration of the Cochin Devaswom Board. The Chottanikkara Bhagavathy Temple is handled by the Cochin Devaswom Board. Every day thousands of devotees visit the temple for the worshipping of Shakthi devi.

Chottanikkara Temple Darshan

This temple is also famous with the name of the Chottanikkara Bhagavathy Temple (ചോറ്റാനിക്കര ഭഗവതി ക്ഷേത്രം) located in the State of Kerala. The Temple is mentioned in the list of most famous temples of Kerala. Chottanikkara Devi Temple is purely dedicated to the mother goddess Shakthi devi or Rajarajeshwari known as Sree Bhagavathi. The Hindu devotees believe that the temple is blessed with worshipped in three forms the Devi, Saraswati in the morning, Lakshmi at noon, and Durga in the evening.

Many pilgrims visit this temple for the Darshan of Devi because lord devi in the temple is known for its healing powers, particularly relating to mental illness and disorders. Moreover, the Chottanikkara Temple is significant since it is a well-known temple in South India. Every day, hundreds of devotees go to the Chottanikkara Temple to have the sacred darshan of Goddess Shakthi Devi. During the MAKOM Thozhal, Chingam, Vrishchicka Mandala Mahotsavam, and Kumbam festivals, the temple is a must-see. It shutters in the afternoon, same as other temples, and reopens for darshan.

Chottanikkara Devi Temple Nada Schedule

  • In the Chottanikkara Temple, devotees can also attend the Sivan Nada and Nada Darshan. So, they have to come to Sivan Nada at 5 a.m. have Darsanam of Sivandhara, and see the Ethruthu pooja at 5.30 a.m. in the temple.
  • Moreover, the Nirmalya Darshan also called Nada is opening at 4.00 Am and During Mandalam and Fridays – 3.30 a.m.
