Vaishno Devi Temple (माता वैष्णो देवी मंदिर) is located in Trikuta hills which is 13 Km from base camp Katra. This temple is dedicated to the goddesses Mahakali, Mahalakshmi, and Mahasaraswati. Additionally, she is seen as the potency of Hari or Vishnu. Shree Vishno Devi temple is one of the most famous pilgrims. The journey of the Mata Vaishno devi is a way of finding spiritual disciplines and penances. Shree Vaishno Devi Temple Pooja/ Aarti Timing

‘Aarti’ of the Goddess is performed twice a day first time in the morning just before the sunrise and second time in the evening immediately after sunset. The procedure of ‘Aarti’ is a very sacred and lengthy one. Pujaris perform ‘Aarti’ before the holy deity first inside the sanctum- sanctorum and then outside the cave. Before the commencement of ‘Aarti’, the Pujaris perform ‘Aatam puja’ (self-purification).
