Let us tell you that Jageshwar Temple is the most famous Hindu temple located in the state of Uttarakhand. This temple is also famous with the name of the “Jageshwar Dham Group of Temples” because there are over 100 Hindu temples built between the 7th and 12th centuries near Almora in the state of Uttarakhand, India. The Jageshwar Dham Temple groups date back approximately 2,500 years, having been constructed between the early Katyuri dynasty (8th century) and the Chand dynasty (18th century). Shalivahandeva, the Katyuri king, renovated these temples. An inscription of Malla kings demonstrates their adoration for Jageshwar here in the temple’s main complex.
