Purnima Tithi 2025: Shri Satyanarayana Puja
Purnima also spelled Poornima is a Sanskrit name meaning “full moon”. It is the time when the Moon is fully illuminated and at its brightest. Purnima falls on the 15th Tithi of the Shukla Paksha of the lunar fortnight.
The end of the Purnima Tithi marks the beginning of 15 days of the Krishna Paksha (waning) phase of the Moon and the beginning of the new month (with Pradipada Tithi) in the Purnimanta system of the Hindu lunar calendar. However, you have to keep in mind that the list might not be suitable for Shri Satyanarayan Puja. It might be observed either on the same day or one day before depending on the the starting time of Purnima Tithi on the previous day. Shri Satyanarayana Puja, which is observed on a full moon day, might be observed one day before Purnima Tithi.
