Raghunath Temple has many shrines in the temple complex but the temple is dedicated to Lord Rama known as Raghunath. This temple was constructed in 1835 under the Dogra ruler named Maharaja Gulab Singh. After that, in 1860 Maharaja Ranbir Singh, a son of Maharaja Gulab Singh, completed the construction. Now it is visited by thousands of devotees each month for the darshan of Lord Rama. Despite the deity of Lord Rama, other shrines are present that contain 17 shrines. Raghunath is an avatar of Lord Vishnu. The shrines of the रघुनाथ मंदिर जम्मू are decorated with 300 well-crafted icons of gods. Ramayana, Mahabharata, and Bhagavad Gita theme is depicted on the 15 panels of the main shrine.
