Someshwara Somanatha Temple also known as the Someshwara Mandir is one of the most famous temples in the Hindu religion, especially in the Southern India Region. This temple is situated at the banks of the Arabian Sea at the Western Ghats of South India 13 kilometers (8.1 mi) away from Mangalore. If you want to know about the history of the temple, then historically it is said to have been built by the Kings of the Alupa Dynasty in the 10th century A.D. The temple was under the Administrative rule of Kadambas of Banavasi, and Choula Kings of Ullala of the 12th century A.D. Again in the 15th Century, this temple was renovated. The temple was built in Dravidian architecture. Many devotees performed various worships at the Temple for worshipping of the Someshwara Temple in Mangalore.
