One of the renowned Hindu temples “Chettikulangara Sree Bhagavathi Temple” is located in Kerala. The main deity of the temple is Sree Bhadrakali. This temple is situated at the Chettikulangara in Mavelikkara taluk of Alappuzha district in the Indian state of Kerala. It is the most prominent temple in the Kerala State. In the Hindu tradition, Bhadrakali is mentioned as an incarnation of supreme mother Shakthi Devi, born from the third eye of Lord Shiva, to kill the demon king Daruka.

Let us tell you that Chettikulangara Temple is located 4 kilometers (2.5 mi) west of Mavelikkara town, 7 kilometers (4.3 mi) north of Kayamkulam city on SH6 (Kayamkulam – Thiruvalla Highway). This temple is dedicated to the deity Chettikulangara devi, the supreme mother goddess, Shakthi devi in Hinduism. Chettikulangara is also known as the Bhadrakali in the Hindu religion. This temple is one of the most famous temples in South India. This is the second largest temple in terms of income under the control of the Travancore Devaswom Board, second only next to Sabarimala.

A large number of devotees come here to perform prayers and celebrate the various events & festivals at the temple. Millions of devotees come annually to the temple for prayers in front of Goddess Chettikulangara. The various types of puja and rituals performed at the temple.
