Ettumanoor Mahadev Temple is a very popular temple for Hindu devotees in Kerala. The temple is purely dedicated to the Lord Shiva. This ten-day temple celebration takes place during the month of Kumbha, which is February or March. Numerous devotees gather on the eighth and tenth days of the festival to see the public presentation of the seven-and-a-half gold elephants, known as Ezhara Ponnana in Malayalam. The Nada shutters in the afternoon and reopens for darshan, same as other temples.
